Shaonong Wang
Shaonong is the founder of Chinese Grass Linen painting and calligraphy, and Chinese double-sided Grass Linen painting. Grass linen is a traditional handicraft with a rich history. It is a kind of cloth made of ramie. Because this cloth usually keeps the body cool in the hot summer, it is also named Xiabu ("Xia" means summer) in China. Xiabu is a traditional garment material for the Han nationality in China since the Xia-Shang-Zhou Period.
Shaonong’s creation of Chinese Grass Linen painting and calligraphy received the national invention patent. He is one of the most influential artists in China. Shaonong is currently the Dean of the Xiabu Research Academy in China, he is also a Fine Arts Professor and a member of the Chinese Museum of History Research Association.

作品代表国家和四川在日本、韩国、香港、台湾巡展;中国夏布画在北京奥运会、上海世博会专场展出;代表四川参加了首届国际文化博览会,专著《中国夏布绘画艺术》是中国第一本关于夏布文化的书籍。
作品入选《中国美术全集》、《中国近五十年书画名家精品》、《影响中国一百位艺术大家》等。
